Introduction to HTML Programming

Instructions to Nicole's Virtual Classroom

1. Go to www.activeworlds.com and download the 3D browser
   • Click on the "AW Download" spot in the upper left hand corner of the first page
   • Use the 2.2 version for the virtual class (not the 3.1 version)
   • You will be asked where on your computer you would like to download to installation program. Remember where you put it, you will need to be able to find it for the next step.
2. Install the 3D browser on your computer (You must have a pentium or better)
   • Find where you downloaded the installation program and launch it
   • If you have more than one hard drive, install AW to the drive with the most space.
3. Start the Active Worlds application with the "AW" icon
4. Enter as a tourist (otherwise you have to pay $25 per year)
5. On the left side of the screen select the "Worlds" tab
6. Select the world represented by the letters "AW". This is Alpha World
7. Once in Alphaworld, teleport to coordinates 2257N 1933W
   • From the menu bar select "Teleport"
   • Select "To" in the pull down menu
   • In the Teleport box for Coordinates enter "2257N 1933W"
   • Click "ok"
