  This class is designed to give you a fundamental understanding of Project Management. We will concentrate on Project Management techniques used in the Information Technology Industry. We will look at Project Management concepts and use Giga Project and/or Microsoft Project to develop a time based plan, resource load the temporal plan, cost load our resources, merge sub projects into a master project and determine the risk of our project.

Course Work and Homework:
If you have a computer you can do your lab work at home. However, working at home is not an excuse for not getting your assignments done. I am in the lab for 8 hours each week (See Schedule). If you are working at home and start to fall behind, work in the lab while I am there !! All lab assignments are due the week after they are listed above. Late assignments lose 10% of their value for each week they are late. Reading should be done before the class they are listed for above. All assignments and several other useful items can be found on my website at http://cis.marin.cc.ca.us/nicole
Grading Policy:
Your grade in this class is determined by: your lab assignments, quizzes and the test at the end of the class.
Lab Assignments 70%
Quizzes 15%
Final 15%
